Somos Congratulates Advisory Board Member Douglas Gardner in New Role as Vice President of Corporate Development at Sinch
In Mid-2016, Somos brought together telecom thought leaders and visionaries to serve as our organization’s first Advisory Board. These industry standouts provide strategic input, business intelligence and advice to help ensure the continued advancement of communications to meet ever evolving market needs. Through strategic discussions, the Advisory Board – whose members include representatives from Sinch, Verizon, Twilio, Salesforce, Bandwidth, Google, Intrado, Cox, ALT and THE Telco – serve as a key contributor to Somos advancing its mission to empower more trusted connections between brands, consumers and communities.
In our newest blog series, we are excited to introduce you to the Somos Advisory Board Members who are committed to helping keep our industry on the cutting edge – all while ensuring its continued growth and expansion. For the series’ inaugural blog, we look forward to a dual opportunity – the chance to both get to know Advisory Board Member Doug Gardner better whilst likewise celebrating his recent professional advancement.
It is with great esteem that Team Somos extend congratulations to long-time Advisory Board member Doug Gardner on his new role as Vice President of Corporate Development for Sinch. As a leading cloud communications platform, Sinch lets businesses reach every mobile phone on the planet, through mobile messaging, voice and video. Sinch is a trusted software provider to mobile operators, and its platform powers business-critical communications for many of the world’s largest companies. As VP of Corporate Development for Sinch, Doug will be specifically responsible for driving new initiatives, researching and negotiating new business opportunities and expanding Sinch’s portfolio of services for the global market.
“Accelerated by the remote economy, we are at an inflection for global business communications – which is why it’s critical to have strong thought leaders helping drive industry and commercial initiates,” said David Stewart, Chief Business Development Officer at Somos. “Doug is a highly respected member of the communications industry, and we are honored to have him as a Somos Advisory Board member. His depth of experience and insight have been valuable as we navigate our fast-expanding marketplace and strive to build trust back into telephony.”
“The communications industry is the real winner when we converge as a board,” said Doug. “It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to represent Sinch and exchange insights and market observations with my peers. In my new role as Vice President of Corporate Development for Sinch, I look forward to continuing to provide vision, mission and perspective from a global CPaaS provider.”
