Ann Berkowitz

Ann Berkowitz is Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Public Policy and Number Administration for Somos, Inc.  She is responsible for strategic global public policy, Federal, State and Legislative affairs, industry relations, number administration, and government contracts.  Prior to joining the Somos team in 2016, Ann was a founding member of the Somos Board of Directors and served as Chair of the Board of Directors, and Chair of the Compensation and Investment Committees, during her tenure.

Ann has over 30 years of telecom and government relations experience, and a broad policy background in wireless, wireline, and other communications technology areas.  Prior to joining Somos, she was Executive Director, Federal Regulatory Affairs for Verizon Communications where she was the corporation’s leading advocate before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on a variety of telecommunications policy areas that affect Verizon including local number portability, Toll-Free services, and consumer protection policy.

Ann has been active in numerous civic and business organizations and is an active member of the Federal Communications Bar Association.  Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from the University of Maryland.
