Two New Enhancements Now Available with the February TFNRegistry™ Release!

New enhancements for the TFNRegistry™ have been developed to help maximize user efficiency and increase functionality and performance. Learn more about the new updates that can help optimize your Toll-Free Number management and administration experience:

*NEW* Alerts Banner 

The Important Service Alert Banner, which was located on the Somos® Portal Website** has been moved to the TFNRegistry* and has been renamed to “Alert” Banner. It can be seen at the top of all TFNRegistry pages if there is an issue (e.g. SCP Queuing, High System Activity, Intermittent Issues, etc.) to keep you updated as close to real-time as possible. You can close this alert as desired on the page that you have retrieved from the TFNRegistry’s Menu; however, it will always be available on the Dashboard page which is located on the TFNRegistry’s Landing page during an issue. The Important Service Alert Banner will continue to be displayed on both the Somos Portal Website and the TFNRegistry until Monday, March 24, 2025, to allow our users time to adjust to the new location solely within the TFNRegistry.

*NEW* Auto-Formatting of TFNs

Enhancements have been made to the auto-formatting of Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs), helping to increase efficiency and save time. The TFNRegistry will now accept three new input formats when a user copies and pastes TFNs into “Toll-Free Number” fields:

1.   Auto-Format E.164 TFNs (e.g. +18001234567 will change to 800-123-4567) 
2.  Auto-Format Leading 1 TFNs (e.g. 18001234567 will change to 800-123-4567) 
3.  Auto-Format Vanity Numbers longer than 10-Characters (e.g. 844HEYSOMOS will change to 844-439-7666)
