Somos Launches Industry Beta Program for the SMS/800 TFN Registry

Enhancing the Responsible Organization (Resp Org) user experience and supporting the optimization of their business operations is our highest priority and a major inspiration for the modernization of the SMS/800 Toll-Free Number (TFN) Registry.

In Q2 of 2019, the SMS/800 TFN Registry will complete its full system cutover. Not only will Resp Orgs have access to new features and functionalities on a new User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API), but architecture changes will also be occurring that may impact users of the Web Based Access (WBA) and Mechanized Generic Interface (MGI). In an effort to ensure a streamline transition, Somos has created a Pre-Production Beta environment that is accessible exclusively to Resp Orgs. This program, which runs through March 29, 2019, provides an environment designed to help ensure that Resp Org systems are ready to accommodate the new features, functionality and changes.

Access to the Pre-Production Beta environment is currently available to all Resp Orgs and many have already taken the opportunity to test the SMS/800 TFN Registry UI, API V2, WBA and MGI.
