Somos Joins Telecom Industry at 2017 INCOMPAS Show

Last week, Somos attended the 2017 INCOMPAS Show in New Orleans, LA. While the show is focused on telecommunications, it showcases a mix of topics that appeal to various sectors of the telecom industry.

The keynote session, led by Kenny Gunderman of Uniti Group Inc., was focused on investing in fiber optics and implementing small-cells and other wireless infrastructure options. Throughout the event, speakers covered issues related to data centers, cyber security, and federal programs, all centered on ideas about helping communication companies thrive.

At INCOMPAS, we attended an engaging panel moderated by Bandwidth’s Nick Sgroi, with the participation of Douglas Gardner of Twilio and Jeanne Dale of Windstream, which provided valuable insights about strategies and trends for buyers and ways to adjust to accommodate for shifting demands.

The show also included two hours focused on connecting sellers and buyers in a kind of “speed dating” format, where participants traveled from table to table, sharing their offerings with each different group of buyers. We had the opportunity to introduce RouteLink, a modern way to access Toll-Free routing information through an API, to several companies, and we are happy to say that it was well-received.

We expect to be present in the next chapter of INCOMPAS, scheduled for this October in San Francisco, CA to continue expanding our network in the industry, and to better understand our customers’ needs.
