Somos, Inc. Announces the Appointment of Michael Day to its Board of Directors

Bridgewater, NJ., June 26, 2017 -- The Board of Directors of Somos, Inc., the leading provider of neutral Toll-Free numbering and database administration services for the telecommunications industry, today announced the appointment of Michael Day to its Board of Directors and to serve as Chair of the Audit Committee.

“Michael is an accomplished business leader, financial expert and experienced board member,” said Gina Perini, President and CEO of Somos.  “I am confident that he will make an important and positive impact on our company.”

Mr. Day most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of CSAA Insurance Group, a major provider of AAA-branded insurance.  Mr. Day has also held senior finance positions at MTV Networks and the Walt Disney Company.

Mr. Day is currently on the Board and chairs the Audit Committee of Recology Inc., and Topa Insurance Group.  He served as a member of the Board of AAA Life Insurance Company for eight years and during his tenure held the roles of Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board and Chair of the Finance and Nominating Committees.

In 2010, Mr. Day was named CFO of the Year by the San Francisco Business Times. He received an MBA in finance from Columbia University and a BBA in accounting from Baruch College.  He is also a certified public accountant licensed in the state of New York.
