Somos CEO Speaks at MoNage: Adapting Technology for Changes in the Market

Today, Somos’ President & CEO, Gina Perini spoke on the Industry Leadership & the Future of the Messaging Ecosystem panel at MoNage, highlighting the ways that Somos is adapting for the changing opportunities and demands in the telecom industry.

She described how Somos partners with our industry in a common goal of creating a customer-friendly enterprise adoption strategy at scale. Somos stands to play a pivotal role in this strategy, as a reliable and trusted partner to bring to life new innovations.

“We are evolving our business to adapt to the ever-changing telecom ecosystem, resulting in deeper engagement with our customers, breaking out of being a one-dimensional utility service for administering Toll-Free Numbers, and adopting new technologies at scale,” she said.

To accomplish this, Somos is modernizing our platforms to support these changes in the market, while integrating the customer more intimately into the process. We’re studying how our customers experience these changes, and conducting market research of larger telecommunications industry disruptions. Above all, we’re consistently challenging the assumptions behind our business, so that we can look at it with fresh eyes.

The changes happening at Somos are mirroring the Toll-Free evolution. Toll-Free is expanding as its uses in the digital economy expand – valued for immediate, just-in-time provisioning and its ability to help chart the customer journey, both in online and offline ad-tracking and marketing analytics, and call center intelligence. Our approach is based on applying new technology within our space, including open APIs, adaptable technologies, and integrating traditional wireline with IP networks.

As Somos changes our business model to support these changes, our end goal is always to enable more innovation and evolution in the industry.
