Howard Woolley Named to Savoy Magazine’s 2021 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors List

It is with great pride that Team Somos congratulates our Lead Director, Howard Woolley, on his recent 2021 Most Influential Black Corporate Director recognition by Savoy Magazine. Mr. Woolley joined Somos’ Board of Directors in September 2017 and in addition to serving as the Board’s Lead Director, he is also a member of the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee. 

Mr. Woolley is President & CEO of Howard Woolley Group LLC, a strategic business, public policy and diversity and inclusion advisory firm serving the telecommunications and technology sectors. Mr. Woolley is a recognized leader in strategic planning, regulatory risk management, public policy and government affairs. Having a long tenure as a senior executive at Verizon, he most recently served as the organization’s Senior Vice President of Wireless Policy and Strategic Alliances. Mr. Woolley also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America and Apple Hospitality REIT, as well as on the Board of Trustees of the following institutions: Johns Hopkins Medicine, Johns Hopkins University and Syracuse University.
