Gain Beneficial NANPA Updates at the 2022 NARUC Summer Policy Summit!

On Sunday, July 17, you’re cordially invited to join us at the 2022 National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ (NARUC) Summer Policy Summit in sunny San Diego, California! The NARUC Summit provides an excellent opportunity for state utility regulators to come together to improve the quality and effectiveness of public utility regulation by learning from each other and the industries they regulate. Members of the North American Numbering Plan Administration (NANPA) and Team Somos will have the distinct privilege of joining the panel discussion:

During the session, Tara Farquhar, Manager Industry Relations and Customer Education, at NANPA, Kevin Green, Senior Director, Public Policy and External Relations, at Somos and Justen Davis, Senior Director, Industry Relations and Public Policy at Somos will join moderator Daniel Klein, Program Manager, for the Idaho Public Utilities Commission for a NANP update as well as insight into the following topics:

• Recent Federal Communications Commission (FCC) numbering proceedings including the new guidelines for international Gateway Providers
• Fraud fighting solutions from Somos including the Reassigned Numbers Database (RND) and RealNumber DNO (Do Not Originate)
• Recent, collaborative efforts by the FCC and State’s Attorney General’s offices to combat illegal robocalling and spoofing
• A petition by Maine, New Hampshire and North Dakota requesting that the FCC consider individual telephone number pooling (ITN pooling) to conserve numbering resources
