Celebrating Excellence: Announcing the 2024 Somos Trailblazer Award Winners

At this year’s Somos Summit, we proudly recognized the leaders and innovators who have made outstanding contributions to the telecom and communications industries with the 2020 Somos Trailblazer Award. This honor is reserved for those who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and innovation, helping to advance the industry in new and exciting ways. 

Our first award was presented to Guy Pearson, Senior Vice President of Bank of America, a visionary leader whose dedication and efforts have significantly enhanced fraud mitigation strategies within the financial sector. Guy’s work has set new standards for safeguarding customers and ensuring trust in the digital and telecommunication ecosystem. His commitment to innovation and proactive measures in preventing fraud has made him a trailblazer, impacting not only Bank of America but the broader financial services industry. 
 

The second award went to the Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA), a global leader in the fight against communications fraud. The CFCA has been instrumental in fostering collaboration across industries to tackle some of the most pressing fraud challenges. Their work continues to play a pivotal role in creating safer, more secure communications networks by empowering organizations with the knowledge and resources to combat fraud effectively. We commend CFCA’s unwavering dedication to protecting consumers and enhancing the security of global communications. Accepting on behalf of CFCA was Board Member, Stacy Graham of Sinch, who reinforced CFCA’s ongoing commitment to protecting consumers and enhancing the security of global communications. 

The Somos Trailblazer Award celebrates not only individual achievement but also the power of collaboration across sectors. Both Guy Pearson and CFCA exemplify the spirit of innovation, resilience and commitment that are essential to navigating the ever-evolving challenges of fraud and customer protection.
